The Beginning of The Industrial Revolution

The Steamboat was a major invention during the Industrial Revolution http://goo.gl/j4wwba

The Erie Canal was a man made canal that stretched for about 363 miles. This canal connected the western inland seas with the Atlantic Ocean.

Free enterprise was the freedom of private businesses to operate competitively for profit with little government regulation. Entrepreneurs were/are investors that are in pursuit of profit that invest their own money in new industries. This was very significant to the U.S. in becoming an economic power because they risked all of their money in order to make more profit.

The United States had an abundance of natural resources such as metal and oil. This led and allowed the U.S. To provide transportation.

Black gold, or oil, was a very important resource that the U.S. With this resource, they were able to power and run new intentions.

The U.S. Also made good use of the metal steel. This allowed and provided for new ways to build and design buildings.

Between the old Industrial Revolution and the new Industrial Revolution, they have many similarities and differences. They both manufactured products and was located in the United States. They were different because the first Industrial Revolution had additive manufacturing as how the new Industrial Revolution uses substractive manufacturing. Also, if one wanted to work in a factory, they would have to move to a different city as of now factories of any kind are located everywhere.

Recording a New Nation

George Washington was the first president of the United States of America. He was the unanimous choice in the nation's first presidential election. He was a historic figure because he was the general who led the army against the British. Also, he helped establish the country that still exists today.

There were two important political party: the Central Government(Federalists) and the state government(Democratic-Republicans). The Federalists(mostly Northerners) were led by Alexander Hamilton and the Democratic-Republicans(mostly Southerners) were led by Thomas Jefferson. They formed because there were often disagreements on issues and questions in the presidential cabinet and this helped to create the new country's two-party system of political parties.

A presidential cabinet is a group of advisers that is selected by the president to help run the government. Thomas Jefferson and Alexander Hamilton were two important members of the presidential cabinet.

Thomas Jefferson and Alexander Hamilton did not share many ideas. For example, Hamilton wanted the government to be ran by the wealthy and educated people. As for Jefferson, we wanted to government to be ran by the modern people and workers. Merchants, investors, and , landowners supported Hamilton and the common people supported Jefferson.

It's okay to disagree but not okay to be disagreeable. If people in a political have disagreements, then everyone will come to terms and agree upon a certain choice. If one were disagreeable, then that would not be the right way to run a government.

If I were a president of the U.S., I would want my cabinet to have regular disagreements. I say this because if certain people disagree with a certain topic, then everyone may listen to the opinions other are giving and can come to terms with the right decisions.

The Constitution of the U.S.

The constitution is a document showing the people what their rights are and what the limitations of the governments are.

A centralized government is one in which power or legal authority is exerted or coordinated by a de facto political executive to which federal states, local authorities, and smaller units are considered subject.

The main purpose of the Articles of Confederation were to unite the thirteen colonies.

The original constitution did not succeed because it did not provide power to the centralized government.

The continental congress limit the power of the central government by writing the Bill of Rights so the citizens may have their own freedom at will.

The constitution in 2014 is very important because we will still have these ten amendments on our side.
